Chocolate Covered Strawberry Stout Brownies

Servings 9 squares

Ingredients
  

Brownies:

  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup stout beer
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour

Topping:

  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries chopped
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • Add melted butter, sugar, cocoa power, espresso powder and salt to bowl. Stir to combine.
  • Add the eggs and beer, stir until well combined.
  • Sprinkle with flour, stir until just combined.
  • Pour into an 8X8 baking dish that has been greased.
  • Bake at 325 for 32-35 minutes or until the top is slightly firm to the touch. Allow to cool completely.
  • Add strawberries in an even layer. Drizzle with melted chocolate, allow chocolate to harden before cutting and serving.
